Protected on the Perilous Nile

I know its a long time since I wrote my last blog. So I made up my mind to pen down my thoughts -today whatever comes my way.

Kids are all at school, busy with the new academic year. They must be striving hard to fulfill their dreams.Older kids would have joined new colleges ,found new friends, settled down with life at dorms. This is just a little list ,but there is much more we really don't know.

As kids have their own duties to do at school or college, parents have their regular fears and worries concerning the child's future ,safety and lot more. I believe every normal parent would at least think about their child once when they are away from them. As a parent I know that we have our own trepidation with respect to our kids.

I was going through Exodus chapter 2, God helped me understand that He is one who protects and preserves us amidst of all the dangers and traps in this world.
We read about baby Moses afloat on the death dealing river Nile.Nile. Jochebed, mother of Moses put Moses into a papyrus basket coated with pitch and tar to prevent the wood from rotting due to water corrosion. How much a mother's heart must have been heavy while casting away her  baby son on the river Nile.

I was trying to find out from the google about the river Nile. The information I got from the web was spine-chilling.
The Nile river has treacherous rapids and large rocks which makes traveling dangerous. The oppressive heat can lead to dehydration and fatigue. It is the habitat for the world's deadliest alligators, crocodiles and snakes.

The tiniest mosquitoes  found on the river can cause fatal diseases  like malaria and skin sores. It is the house of varieties of sand flies which are carriers of various parasites .No one could return alive after an expedition on the Nile.
Isn't it terrorizing ?? I was totally petrified after reading about the Nile.

Still The God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob was gracious indeed to protect and preserve the little baby Moses from any kind of danger on the devouring river Nile.

Psalms 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength,A very present help in trouble

He is our shield and shelter in the time of storm. The God who protected Moses amidst every dangers encompassing Him on the Nile,Is the very same God who will safeguard our children wherever they are .Though they walk through the valley of the shadow of death,His Grace will cover and guard them. Our children are marked and covered by the blood of the lamb. No evil shall befall them.
May the peace of God which surpasses all understanding guard our minds and hearts through Jesus Christ

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;.
My God, in Him I will trust.”;.
Psalms 91:1-2
